On Wednesday 26 April, Reedham officially launched our new fundraising initiative – Reedham Guardians – at the House of Lords. Over 50 guests attended the Reception in the Attlee Room, which was very kindly hosted by the Earl of Selborne. We would like to sincerely thank Lord Selborne for enabling this fantastic opportunity for Reedham.
This special event gave Reedham, and many
of our valued supporters, an exclusive chance to connect with our beneficiaries
and their families. Five of our young people, and one of their Mums,
shared how Reedham's intervention is having a transformative effect on their
lives. It was incredibly inspirational to hear their stories, but also
wonderful that one of our students highlighted how the opportunity that Reedham
has enabled for her has meant so much, that she is determined she will “give
back" and enable others to benefit from such an opportunity in the future.
Reedham Guardians are a very special group of individuals who have pledged significant support to the Trust. Every penny of which is used to respond directly to children's circumstances. Reedham aims to empower our students and families so that they can have the opportunities to develop, thrive and fulfil their potential, in spite of their circumstances. We are so grateful to our student and parent speakers for sharing their personal experiences and for speaking so openly. It is only through the continued support of our Guardians and valued supporters that we are able to carry on helping them and the many others like them.
