MAKING a SPLASH, and MAKING SOME CASH!
Reedham Children's Trust took part in the Purley Swimathon 2017, on Saturday 25th February.
The Swimathon is an annual fundraising event, held at Purley Swimming Baths with swimmers completing lengths, in a relay with other team members over a 60 minute period.
ex-Trustee, Bill Tubb who is still involved with the charity helped Reedham to
enter three teams: Reedham Children's Trust, Reedham Friends and 21st
Purley Scouts. Bill and members of his
family took part this year, and have entered teams for 20 years to this fantastic local event.
of our current Trustees, Reverend Jeremy Groombridge also took part, along with Hannah Blythe, our youngest team member, aged 8. Final totals are not yet in, but currently
over £1,000 has been raised. Full and
final total will follow ….!
The Purley Swimathon continues to enable local people make a difference to their chosen charities.
A BIG THANK YOU to all those swimmers who participated!
