From learning sign language to yoga classes and baking, our young people have been extremely busy during lockdown. Below are some highlights of what they have achieved…

One student has won an internship at UCL on a young Lawyer’s programme, as well as work experience at a law firm!

sports enthusiast has secured work experience at her local sports centre as her previous summer plans were cancelled due to Covid-19.

Some of our young people have been using their time in a fantastic way to support the BLM movement.  One student has been raising money for Show racism the red card through creating her own art work and another is part of the Cultural Diversity Committee at her school, and has been reflecting on her own experiences whilst generating and sharing information digitally.

Watch a powerful School Assembly presented by one of our young people on the subject of Black Lives Matter:

As well as studying hard for next year some of our young people got creative at home by building a climbing wall in their garden.

We are also pleased to share that one of our assisted boarders has achieved an academic scholarship for Sixth Form.

Below is a lovely message we received:

Thank you for all the support you have given. It’s been a real eye-opener for us and going to this school has been such a great opportunity. I can’t even put into words how grateful I am to go to a school like this. I think it's fascinating what you guys are doing and it’s helping so many kids. I know if it’s helping me imagine how many other kids it's helping. I am so blessed to have this opportunity.

- Kyla, aged 17.

We are so impressed by all of their achievements and thoughtful messages.
