Thank you so much for taking part in the Elf or Gingerbread workshops - we hope you have/had a magical experience!

Centrale & Whitgift are very kindly partnering with Reedham Children's Trust to support vulnerable children over the Christmas period, through their Giving Tree and workshops. Everyone taking part in the workshop is asked to make a small donation in return for your experience. To do so, please click the donate button within this page.

If you have clicked the QR code first and still need to book your tickets - after you have donated, please click here to book the Elf Workshop or here to book the Gingerbread workshop. Workshops are open Fridays to Sundays from the 19th of November and every day from Monday 20th December to 24th December.

* Please note, many workshops are fully booked but Centrale & Whitgift are looking to increase capacity at sessions, so keep an eye out for more dates released! Also, there are always no shows, so if you are in Croydon and would like to attend, please pop in as you may well be able to join in!*

Reedham Children's Trust

If you'd like to know a little bit more about Reedham Children's Trust and how your donation will help a vulnerable chid, please read on.

Reedham Children's Trust is the oldest Children's charity in Croydon, we have been supporting vulnerable children since 1844.

We provide targeted early-intervention support to disadvantaged children and young people aged 4-16 and their families, who are failing to access education or make progress in school. We provide practical and motivational support through schools and communities, reducing the obstacles faced by vulnerable children and young people to enable them to gain the education, stability, resilience, skills and self-belief to fulfil their potential.

This year’s Christmas drive is supporting vulnerable local children, including those in care, living in a refuge, who have suffered a bereavement or have a parent with a serious illness – children whose day to day life can be exceptionally difficult. 2021 has been a challenging year for all of us, but for these children it has been significantly tough. Lack of money has never been so prevalent, and many of those we will be supporting may not even have enough food for Christmas, let alone the money to buy a present. That is why your support is soo important; together we have the ability to make a child smile with a present under the Christmas tree.

These are just a few examples of how your donation will help:

  • From £2-£10 could help us buy small Christmas gifts, from Colouring Books and Crayons, to Teddies and Dolls.
  • From £10-20 could help us buy vouchers for our older children at a shop of their choice or a food voucher for a family struggling to get by.

Last year we delivered over 700 Christmas presents to local children in Croydon schools – and this is a little bit of the feedback we got:

“I can’t believe Father Christmas visited my school!” (one young boy said to his teacher)

"This will be the best Christmas my family will ever have, I don’t have to worry about each child receiving a gift" (Local Mum)

We do rely on donations, which is why your support today means the world to us.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about Reedham Children's Trust and for your donation. We hope your little one(s) have the most magical time at their workshops.

Lastly, we would like to say a huge thank you to Centrale & Whitgift shopping centres for their continued support of Reedham Children’s Trust – their kindness brings so much joy and hope to disadvantaged local children at Christmas time.

Happy Christmas!

Love Team Reedham and the Elves xxxxx
