Family holiday

In its second year, some of our families are given the opportunity to spend precious time together and to experience a ‘Glamping’ holiday in Wigwams at the amazing Chawton Park Farm.

Families travel down to just outside Alton, and spend three days on a working sheep farm and experience the beautiful Hampshire countryside, in luxury timber cabins.

"We were fortunate enough to be invited to go on a Glamping holiday last summer. We did not know quite what to expect. We knew Glamping was a posh form of camping but how different from camping we didn’t know.

We discovered that differences between camping and glamping are vast. The wooden hut we stayed in was fully equipped. It had a flat screened TV with an internal DVD player, a two ring cooker, fridge, microwave, hot water, shower room with wc and the most important thing for a British summer holiday...heating! Externally there is a outdoor table and a BBQ. Plus a field for any energetic young person to run around in.

We had a fantastic time there. On our first night  we had a BBQ. Then on our second day we drove into the village of Chawton to visit the home of the famous author Jane Austen. The location of the Glamping site is situated just off the dual carriageway. This made it easy for us to drive to Winchester, which has plenty to see and do.

My daughters and I had a wonderful time. We came away feeling rested and more closely bonded."

Benefits of a boarding school education

If I hadn't have gone to boarding school then I probably wouldn't have carried on with education up to 'A' levels and wouldn't be focused on education in the way I am now. I found it easier to work when everyone around me was motivated.

We believe every child deserves the chance to thrive and to look forward to a healthy, happy, and fulfilling adult life. When young people are offered the right support, family problems and disadvantage need not continue through the generations.

Most of the families we work with are struggling to care for their children due to disability or long term mental or physical ill health; every penny raised goes directly towards transforming the lives of vulnerable children.
