Sabria's Story

I have decided to run the Vitality London 10km race on the 31st May 2021! Well i say 'run' but those who know me well, will know 'running' and 'Sabria' rarely gets used in the same sentence. I aim to raise £200 for Reedham Children Trust who provide vital support to vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Croydon. To be able to raise money and hopefully some awareness for such a worthy cause is a real privilege. Your support is very much needed and pivotal to giving young people a better start in life.

A bit about the Reedham Children's Trust...

Reedham Children's Trust help children from families trying to function in challenging and often desperately difficult circumstances, for whom caring for their children may be a significant struggle.

Many of these children are children in need, some on the edge of the care system. All have had their lives disrupted by a combination of factors such as the death, abandonment or physical or mental illness of a parent; parental abuse of drugs and/or alcohol, or they may have been victims of domestic violence.

Reedham's support enables these children to gain stability, resilience and the educational attainment, skills and self-belief they need to fulfil their potential.

How a donation can help:

  • £5 could buy stationary for a young child we support
  • £10 could pay for vital schoolbooks to help a child learn and thrive
  • £25 could pay for an hour’s intervention supporting a child or family member in crisis
  • £30 could buy a school uniform or warm coat for a vulnerable child
  • £30 could pay for a pair of trainers for a vulnerable child
  • £50 could buy a food voucher for a family
  • £100 could pay for sports equipment for our Transferable skills course in secondary schools.
  • £200 could ensure 20 young people attend a year’s worth of sport and drama lessons, that will help improve their mental wellbeing and feelings of self-worth

Any donation big or small will go directly to the vulnerable and disadvantaged children. Thank you in advance for all your support and donations. You can follow my progress on my Instagram page @sabria_runs

Let's hope i make it to the finish line!
