Reedham Children’s Trust, Croydon’s oldest children’s charity has been helping vulnerable children for 175 years.  We have been working with The London Metropolitan Archives to develop a project that aims to preserve and make accessible records from our rich history to the general public and future generations.

On the 14th November 2019 volunteers, Jeannette, Guisseppe, Linda, Jaimie and Steve from Santander arrived at our offices to spend the day archiving minutes, correspondence, registers, plans, maps, school reports, photographs, audiovisual material and artifacts – from 1844 to 1980.

Team Work!

Reedham’s first-ever heritage archive started to take shape.  Our volunteers also packed artifacts and other items of interest ready to be deposited at The London Metropolitan Archives.

"We really enjoyed the time spent at the charity, and thank you for the great hospitality."

Thank you, Team Santander, for your help and we hope you can join us again for another corporate community day.
