At M&S, we pride ourselves on our work with our community and supporting local causes. There are lots of parents in our team so it felt like a natural choice to support the great work the Reedham Children’s Trust does for local, vulnerable kids. I’m so proud that as a team we’ve managed to raise over £6,000 for children in our community who really need the support.

Sue Kajdi, Commercial & Operations Section Manager

With a year of fundraising coming to an end as M&S Croydon’s Charity partner, we hosted a Bake Sale extravaganza on 27th March, at our offices in Purley.

Sue Kajdi, Operations Manager arrived with three bags full of delicious homemade cakes including Biscoff and vanilla sundae cupcakes, chocolate marble and lemon drizzle cakes, together with delicious M&S hot cross buns!  Bianca, M&S, donated fresh homemade bunny shaped cookies.

Reedham staff contributed homemade cookies, chocolate krispie Easter nests and fairy cakes.  Just as we finished setting up our wonderful display, one of our local supporters delivered two amazing Victoria sponge cakes and 24 dolly mixture cupcakes!  What a wonderful selection of goodies to sell at our final fundraising event with M&S Croydon.

Head Girl and Head Boy, from Beaumont Primary School arrived to lend a hand, and were joined by members of our local community.

It wasn’t long before customers arrived eager to buy, but more importantly support Reedham’s work with young people.

Highlight of the afternoon was an official visit from The Mayor of Croydon, Councillor Toni Letts OBE who was greeted by CEO, Sarah Smart.  Madam Mayor chatted to everyone, including Trustees and school children and bought a selection of fairy cakes!

A great way to mark the end a year of amazing support from M&S Croydon.
