Our projects Youth Homelessness In partnership with Keep It Moving CIC, the Youth Homelessness Prevention Pilot aims to reduce the number of young people presenting at the council as homeless, while supporting them to develop the skills needed to avoid repeat homelessness. Keep It Moving’s innovative youth homelessness prevention model offers wraparound support, combining specialist housing advice with systemic family therapy, mentoring, and employability support. The pilot is particularly focused on young people who are facing homelessness due to risk of serious youth violence, family breakdown, care experience, and asylum seekers moving on from Home Office accommodation. With over 550 young people presenting as homeless in Croydon last year, the project works with young people and their families at an early stage to prevent crisis, reduce repeat homelessness, and support the development of stable, independent futures. The project is currently accepting referrals: https://keepitmovingcic.org/To be eligible, young people must be aged 17–25, at risk of homelessness, and have a connection to Croydon.
