The staff and trustees of Reedham Children’s Trust are deeply saddened by the death of the charity’s patron, Her Majesty the Queen, and we continue to offer our deepest sympathies to members of the Royal Family at the death of the beloved Queen.

The Charity has an historic and strong relationship with The Royal Family going back over 175 years and has been honoured to have Her Majesty the Queen as its patron since 1952. During 70 years of patronage, Her Majesty has taken a close interest in the charity’s work supporting vulnerable children and young people in education and recreation.

In this last decade alone, we have been privileged to take part in Her Majesty’s 90th birthday celebrations in 2016, when London’s Mall was taken over in an incredible street party celebrating her patronage of over 600 charities and organisations, and then more recently when the entire nation celebrated her Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.

Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, dedicated her life to service in the most exemplary fashion. She served her country and the Commonwealth from the age of just 21. Her enduring devotion to duty and constant faith in humanity is something from which we can all take inspiration.

We remain deeply honoured to have known her as patron, as well as our Queen.
