This is Your Life Here are some special memories from the Reedham archives “This Is Your Life" was broadcast by the BBC on Monday 13 November 1961. Appearing on this programme were Mr Ernest Link, Vice-Chairman of the Reedham School and a group of 14 children from Reedham. Subject of the programme was Mr Sandy MacPherson, who was a Canadian-born theatre organist. He broadcast on BBC Radio for a number of years, beginning in 1938. Amongst his broadcasts were shows where he played requests sent in by listeners. Sandy MacPherson became interested in Reedham in 1948 when an 8 year old girl from Reedham Orphanage, Pamela Ellis, wrote and asked him to play a tune for her birthday party, and also asked if Sandy would like to drop in! Sandy played the request and then a few days later went to visit Pamela at Reedham Orphanage. He also made Appeals on behalf of Reedham and helped to raise funds for the School. Pamela Ellis (who had then become Mrs Pamela Snow) also appeared on the “This is Your Life" programme.
