Sadie is 12 and her sister, Leila is 11.  Two girls who are thriving because of the impact of Reedham’s support in their lives

Before Reedham’s support, they lived with their mother, Kate, and older sister who has a brain injury with paraplegia and is bed bound.  Their abusive father left in 2010.

In 2012, Kate was diagnosed with breast cancer. After a brief remission, the cancer returned and she is terminally ill. She endures gruelling rounds of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This is when she turned to Reedham for help. Sadie has been boarding for over a year, and Leila joined her last September. The girls are both fully engaging in school life.

Now, Kate is relieved Sadie and Leila have stability when she is not well enough to care for them, and access to stimulating activities and good friends. She knows that plans have been put in place to ensure stability for them should the worst happen to her, where they feel safe. Most importantly Kate has the peace of mind they will not have to go into care.
